With over a hundred runs every month in often difficult and challenging conditions, EV's experience in obtaining images in these environments is second to none. This video is an excellent example of one of those challenging scenarios and demonstrates how, thanks to the expertise of our personnel, we can deliver answers to our customers.
Running an HD E-line camera in this North Dakota oil well, EV was tasked to find the cause of a blockage during a milling operation and assess the condition of the casing that was suspected to have been damaged during the milling. EV’s camera was pumped down through heavy wall tubing and out into the horizontal section of the well recording this high quality video, despite the challenges of tight restrictions, horizontal trajectory, and exposure to temperatures of up to 275 F in depths of over 15,000 ft.
These video images clearly showed that the casing was still in good condition and highlighted the true cause of the hold up to their milling operations.
