This case study showcases how EV's Optis Infinity played a pivotal role in supporting an operator in the Middle East during a critical and intricate fishing operation.
While performing a drift run with slickline, the drift became stuck at 2325 meters and parted at the safety valve, leaving over 2000 meters of parted slickline wire and the Drift Bottom Hole Assembly in the well. The operator subsequently had to shutdown their highly valuable well until the fish could be removed.
Facing a challenging fishing operation, the operator turned to EV to provide a clear visual assessment of the downhole environment.
Optis Infinity
Optis Infinity is the world’s first array sideview camera for downhole applications. The Optis Infinity provides a ground-breaking, 360°, top-to-toe perspective of well performance and integrity in stunning high definition – infinite imaging capability, infinite applications, infinite possibilities.
The Optis Infinity's unique design captures four high frame-rate video feeds and combines them to create an infinitely long, continuous image of the well, significantly reducing the time for data acquisition.
