This video of the month showcases EV’s Optis Dimensioning software application. The software’s bespoke algorithms, tailored to EV’s cameras, provide the company the ability to measure objects in a downhole environment.
The first example shows the measurement of hydrate formations located in a well using the Optis Slickline HD camera. These types of measurements have proved of particular benefit when planning fishing operations; quick decisions can be made to ensure the correct equipment is used to retrieve the fish, saving our customers valuable time and money.
The second example shows how the software can be used when the Colour Side View Camera is deployed on the Optis HD Electric Line system.
Casing damage was inspected, analysed, and paired with EV’s depth information, to make an informed decision on casing patch size, minimising disruption, and saving time.
EV carries out advanced analysis such as pre and post fracking surveys and periodic quantitative analysis to monitor well degradation, this gives our clients a clear picture of their well integrity and allows for any preventative maintenance to avoid costly interventions.
