The customer was unable to run the completion in a subsea well, causing significant down-time and incurred costs with a semi-submersible rig and full crew on board.
EV’s Optis drill pipe camera was run to determine the problem and discovered an alignment sleeve that should have been removed at surface was still in place. This information enabled in-field decision making and decisive action to be performed.
Once fished the completion was run successfully and the well was brought on-line as planned.
