EV Matches Donations for Cancer Research UK

Ray Tang, EV's Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, has completed the challenge of doing 100 press ups everyday in the month of November for Cancer Research UK.

This is the second year that Ray has completed the challenge which sets out to raise funds for Cancer Research in the UK. In last year's challenge Ray managed to raise £560, helping to fund a clinical research bursary for 1 week, which supports doctors and nurses to carry out pioneering lab work to find new ways to beat cancer.

On the last day of his challenge, Ray finished off the month by completing 100 press ups in one set, smashing his previous record of 70. Our EV team across the UK joined in to support Ray in his last push by doing as many press ups as they could along with him.

Ray was overwhelmed with gratitude for the support from everyone at EV. "Thanks to all that joined me from here in Norwich and all the way up in Aberdeen, boosting my motivation to attempt 100 push-ups in one set. I tried my best and I managed 99.5, it was hard! I made up the half pushup after a few days from recovery. Huge thanks to everyone who turned up to support and thanks EV for matching the donations, it makes a huge difference."

Throughout the challenge Ray managed to raise £585 and with EV matching donations the total figure donated to Cancer Research UK amounted to £1170.
