Experience Innovation at Sand Management Euroforum
28 October 2021
The 9th SPE Sand Management Euroforum will continue to build on the success of preceding conferences to provide a unique platform for operators, service companies and academics to share knowledge and to help drive forward and develop industry best practice. The event will be held at Ardoe House, Aberdeen, Scotland on November 4th - 5th. Join us at stand 4 to meet the EV team and to find out how our latest, market leading innovations are being utilized to help improve well performance and achieve increased economic returns.
The two-day conference programme will showcase case studies, strategies and novel solutions from professionals in services companies, academia and operators with a global perspective. Drop by our booth to find out how high resolution, 360-degree wellbore imaging & analysis can be used to solve complex issues such as locating the source of sand entry or identifying plugging of filter media.
Technical Presentation on "Enabling Effective Sand Control through the Application of Visual Analytics"
Tobben Tymons, Visual Analytics Director, will be presenting at 14:40 on Thursday 4th Nov. The presentation will focus on the application of SandVA and how quantified video images, acquired with the latest array camera technology, can provide comprehensive 360-degree evaluation of sand control systems. Through the presentation of case studies, Tobben will explore how this time-efficient and highly detailed information can be used to solve complex issues such as locating the source of sand entry or identifying plugging of filter media, and how this information enables operators to perform successful, targeted remediation.

SandVA - Comprehensive 360-degree Evaluation of Sand Control Systems
Sand control or sand management is estimated to be required in more than 50% of wells globally during their productive lives. The need arises in both conventional and unconventional wells with high rate gas production from unconsolidated sandstones reservoirs and flowback from hydraulically fractured wells providing common examples. In certain regions the use of slotted liners or sand screens to control sand production is widespread. In these locations production from unconsolidated sands would not be economically possible without their use.
Using proprietary 360-degree video technology, SandVA provides a quantitative evaluation of screen integrity and inflow performance. This allows patterns and trends to be identified, helping diagnose the causes of problems and understand their severity. This information helps operators implement effective sand management programs, enabling them to maximize the performance and productive life of their assets.
Optis Infinity - Infinite Imaging Capability, Infinite Applications, Infinite Possibilities
Join us at our stand to explore the latest case stories and applications of Optis Infinity technology, paired with Visual Analytics services, to see how EV are delivering game-changing information to maximise the efficiency and drive down the cost of well intervention operations. A live demonstration unit will be available at the EV booth for attendees to experience the acquisition and 'Mosaic' stitching process live in action.
Optis Infinity builds upon the industry proven and market leading Optis technology platform, providing a ground-breaking, 360°, top-to-toe perspective of well performance and integrity in stunning high definition.
