Providing Warmth and Supporting Our Communities
22 December 2021
The EV team continues its commitment to helping children from underprivileged communities by providing 74 winter jackets to the pupils of Clemente Martinez Elementary School in Houston, Texas, helping them stay warm, safe, and healthy this winter.
For the fifth year running, the EV team in the United States have been helping the pupil of Clemente Martinez Elementary School to stay warm by donating winter jackets for its pupils. The funds are raised by individual donations from members of staff, which are then matched by the company to double the moneys raised. This year’s total of $1,640 enabled the purchase of 74 much needed winter jackets which were delivered to the school for distribution to its pupils ahead of the cold months and holiday season.
While EV have been championing this initiative for a number of years, this year's efforts were very important to the EV team as the impact of Covid-19 continues to be felt by many families within the school’s district. And with the memory of the winter storm that ravaged the state in February still fresh in our minds, the need to ensure that we all stay warm, safe and healthy felt particularly poignant.
