Revealing the Power of Visual Analytics at IHFTC 2022

The Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference (HFTC) brings together E&P professionals and experts to learn about the latest developments and practices in hydraulic fracturing, exchange knowledge, and witness the latest innovative products and services. This international edition of one of the SPE’s most popular events will help demonstrate how techniques that have been developed and honed in North America can be applied to unlock the potential of unconventional resources in the Middle East.

The second edition of the SPE International Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference and Exhibition will be taking place in Oman after a very well-received first edition. The event will focus on current and upcoming hydraulic fracturing technologies, using experiences and best practices from fracture-stimulated wells, and sharing global learning.

With the theme “Fracturing – Accessing the Molecules and Enhancing Recovery”, this edition will discover advancements in hydraulic fracturing technologies and methods. Key discussions will explore how current and new technologies can be utilised to bring the required paradigm shift in oil and gas development through enhancing accessibility to oil and gas resources more effectively and efficiently and, hence enhancing recovery.

Meet our Expert Team at Stand 28

EV has been at the forefront of innovation and technical services that has driven the step-change in performance of completion design and fracturing performance. For this event, EV will be sending key personnel from across the MENA region, as well as global subject matter experts, to help demonstrate the benefits of applying proprietary Visual Analytic techniques to the completion design and performance feedback process. Come see us at stand 28 to meet our expert team and discuss how we may assist you in unlocking the potential of your unconventional resources.

SPE-205314-MS: “An Expanded Study of Proppant Distribution Trends from a Database of Eroded Perforation Images”

Glyn Roberts, Global Technical Advisor, will share examples from our PerforationVA frac diagnostics service through the presentation of a technical paper titled “An Expanded Study of Proppant Distribution Trends from a Database of Eroded Perforation Images”. The presentation will take place on Wednesday 12th January at 3:00pm as part of the “Fracture Diagnostics 2” in Grand Ballroom A2+A3.

The paper (SPE-205314-MS) will demonstrate how the application of precision optical measurements delivers the most comprehensive in-situ diagnostic of proppant distribution, and how applying this technique as a performance feedback mechanism can be used to develop optimized, engineered completion designs that yield higher productivity and a lower operating cost.

PerforationVA - The Most Complete In-situ Perforation Evaluation Available

Combining high-definition images of individual perforations with accurate measurements of entry hole geometry, PerforationVA provides the most complete in-situ perforation evaluation available. By helping operators improve frac performance and reservoir to well connectivity, PerforationVA improves long-term recovery & production economics, whilst helping to ensure the spend on fracturing is more cost-effective.

Using proprietary 360-degree video technology, PerforationVA quantifies frac-induced erosion for each and every perforation, revealing the precise proppant distribution within each individual cluster and stage. This forensic-level feedback allows completion engineers to benchmark frac performance and understand the effect of engineered changes to completion design.

Optis Infinity - Infinite Imaging Capability, Infinite applications, Infinite Possibilities

Join us at our booth to explore the latest case stories and applications of Optis Infinity technology, paired with Visual Analytics services, to see how EV are delivering game-changing information to maximise the efficiency and drive down the cost of well intervention operations. A live demonstration unit will be available at the EV booth for attendees to experience the acquisition and 'Mosaic' stitching process live in action.

Optis Infinity builds upon the industry proven and market leading Optis technology platform, providing a ground-breaking, 360°, top-to-toe perspective of well performance and integrity in stunning high definition.
